I would like him back. It would be an instant boost to the offense, he has gotten better at blocking too.

The signing of fleener ranks up there with worst FA signings for the saints. I'll never understand the money they paid that guy, there had to be a lot of GMs going wtf.

Would like to get a mean DT or DE in FA. Rankins is a bust and the lack of Nick this year showed he isn't able to anchor the Dline.
And that's yet another in a long list of WTF FA signings by the Mickster that makes me question his being our GM...

There should be better options in Free Agency so long as we're not trying to sign another 31 year old retread running back first...

Don't want Graham back, especially after the "glad you got out of there" tweet he sent when Akiem Hicks left.

I really want us to push for a wide receiver, TE and then draft heavy front 7. Get Michael Thomas and Cam Jordan each a running mate to play opposite them and we are seriously in business.

I'm intrigued to see what Happens with Brees though, how much will he value his services at and where do the Saints draw the line and look to the future.

So do you think there's still bitterness there between Team and Graham?

Re: 2018 NFL Free Agency

Priority Re-signs for the Saints:

UFAs

QB 09 Drew Brees

FB 29 John Kuhn

FB 42 Zach Line

TE 86 John Phillips

OL 65 Senio Kelemete (yeah, I know - but I Believe)

LB 56 Michael Mauti

LB 55 Jonathan Freeny

RFAs

WR 83 Willie Snead IV

WR 16 Brandon Coleman

CB 40 Delvin Breaux

NT 58 David Parry

Vaccaro is gone. Okafor can't stay healthy and a late achilles will linger all season. CB Sterling Moore requested release early last season with little playing time is gone. DE Edebali doesn't fit, we've got better even though we need to get better at DE. Our season is over if QB Chase Daniel takes over, we should've signed Nick Foles last season, damnit. S Rafael Bush would be welcomed back as solid depth, but would he want to be back on such a deep roster at safety?

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: 2018 NFL Free Agency

Really like Melvin's size, he'd be affordable and complement our CB group well...

Re: 2018 NFL Free Agency

Damn lost my post

Is Star Lotulelei worth a look
Play dropped of but good against the run and would be a good rotation with our other DT. If not Dominique Easley on a one year cheap prove it deal.

Jordan Matthews ,Marqise Lee interesting ideas for WR

Last year's signing of Fairley hurt us because we didn't have time nor enough money to get another moose on the defensive line...

There are far better available this early in the game than those last second brutes...

This is from an earlier post about Lotulelei...

I'll be the first to tell you that I don't believe ProFootballFocus and their objective grading system is an absolute...

However, let's use it for perspective, if you will...

Tyeler Davison had an overall grade of 81.0 (0 Sk, 22 Tk), followed by David Onyemata 80.9 (2 Sk, 18 Tk), then Sheldon Rankins 80.7 (2 Sk, 16 Tk)...

Lotulelei's previous years' grades: 2013, 81.1 (3 Sk, 34 Tk); 2014, 79.8 (2 Sk, 21 Tk); 2015, 62.5 (1 Sk, 13 Tk); 2016, 69.7 (4 Sk, 14 Tk)...

Star Lotulelei overall score for this past year, 2017? Ouch, 49.5 (1 Sk, 6 Tk)...

Again, PFF grading isn't some absolute, but that significant a drop in any scale is alarming, and the production, or lack thereof, is in the stat books...

We need help all along the defensive line, but if we're gonna spend, make it count like Jimmy Graham at Tight End, Avery Williamson or Anthony Hutchens at MLB...

Real Upgrades on the D-line would have to come in the draft; maybe geaux after a guy that is versatile, effective but a RFA - David Irving, DAL...

Of course, Tyrunn Walker is looking for employment...
