I just signed up to work from 11 to 7pm on the Super Bowl and will volunteer to stay later if needed. It's a win win for me.

Re: NFL rejects veterans group's Super Bowl ad urging people to stand for the anthem
I took off of work for the Super Bowl and really would like to see it. But if the NFL is going to do stuff like this, then I have no problem popping in my copy of the Saints/Colts SB and just watching that. I think, unless they change their minds on this, they can expect low ratings. Probably the lowest ratings they've ever had for a SB. If that happens, then Goodell and the front office are going to have to do a lot of soul searching this offseason.

"It's never been a place for advertising that could be considered by some as a political statement," McCarthy told Army Times.
Well, except last year. (I can only take so much hypocrisy) |

And those funds should go to the Wounded Warrior Project or any LOCAL direct aid to veterans... But I'll tell you this, if the NFL is going to let a liberal opinion be presented of an issue and deny a conservative opinion, they can can all the red states buh-bye... |

What are "some" doing to take away free speech, the 1st amendment specifically? I'll help you out... Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. Now run and hide like always. |
