Eric Reid is great but Jaquiski Tartt really emerged for the 49ers so Reid is likely to move on.

DaQuan Jones is a mammoth at 6’4”, 320 lbs with dominant run-stuffing ability and good pass rush skills.

Reid is a cancer. No thanks. Our young safeties will be just fine without this douche.

Keep an eye out for how the Cowboys tender DL David Irving, Cowboys (RFA); if they go light, he could be in play...

The thing about Jenkins is that he was not as good as he is now. He has openly stated that when the Saints let him walk, it really opened his eyes and made him work at his craft a lot harder.

Bottom line, he got too comfortable as a starter for us and it showed often in his play.

Terrelle Pryor, anyone? Upgrade over Coleman and Snead.

Maybe he finally got some good coaching. I know our position coaches sucked before we fired them and got fresh faces in the building.

Only FA WR of interest would be Jarvis Landry, and with the first two years heavy as we'll need to re-sign Michael Thomas in two years...

I don't believe WR is as important as having another LB, DT, and OG; I'd say a big TE or WR for third downs and redzone...

I'll point out myself as one of those without no shame and with no crow on my plate.

Jenkins is not the same player now, or during his time in Philly, that the Saints let walk back in the day.

Jenkins has said himself that the Saints not re-signing him was a wake-up call, which made him evaluate and improve his gameplay to the level its been with the Eagles. I have zero doubt that the Saints' defensive coaching staff as it was then and has been since for a lot of years couldn't have coached him up, if the spark to improve wouldn't have come from inside the player. Re-signing him could've sent a message that the Saints were satisfied with his level of play, and he would've remained pretty much the same player.

No way should the Saints have given him what the Eagles gave him (=overpaid from the Saints' standpoint).

Hind-sight is great, but it doesn't change the facts that were true at that moment in time the decision to let him walk was made.

Would absolutely love to sign this guy away from the Panthers; kick either Peat or Ramczyk to Left Tackle, then get our second rounder back by trading Mr. Glass...

That right there is troubling; it makes me wonder if we've been able to get the best out of our players...

Reggie Bush recently interviewed and was asked who was the best coach he ever had and without hesitation his response was Pete Carroll...

He acknowledged right after that response that Payton was the best coordinator he'd been around, but not the best coach...

I can't imagine Payton telling Bush to purposely miss huge holes and bounce every run outside though.

He probably just said Carroll because of how much success he had in college, which didn't fully take effect in the pro's.

I’m all over the idea of kicking Armstead to the curb. We don’t miss him when he’s out anyway. Kelemete could really excell if he was put at one position and every snap. Kick someone over to LT and call it a day.
I think a WR or at the very least a good TE is more important than people think.
Teams are going to work all offseason to find a way to stop our run game. We need to be able to air it out if we have to.

The tone in the interview suggested it was more than sour grapes; he even acknowledged that Payton put him in the best possible position to succeed...

You can tell by the way he sat up in the chair he had more respect for Carroll; this is the interview...

At 5:07 Bush tells you the best player he ever played with or against...

Brees = no brainer

Senio is a no brainer in my mind,.Josh did well as a third too in his limited action. If the price is right would seem like a solid backup until we have something proven better. I thought George johnson really played well for us. Would like to see what that guy has to offer next year and let him compete. Zach is solid. I would bring Okafor back, he was having a really good year. Give him another one year deal. Due to the injury can't think he'd be expecting a lot.

Mauti and Hughes let compete?

Kenny I am torn with.

There is no way we can afford to eat TA’s contract. I think his cap hit this year is 12-16 million. They may restructure to free up some room and let him walk in a couple of years. I hope SP has learned from these stupid contracts.

Think there's a general consensus that Saints Fans want Senio Kelemete back, but he may want a starting gig, with starter's salary...

You know who we need to go after in FA? NT Justin Ellis from the Raiders. 6’2” and 335 lbs of mountainous run-stopping goodness. He offers nothing as a pass rusher but he can be a relatively low-priced key addition.

Even if he doesn't get the sacks, he's got to get the pressures, crushing the pocket so the Ends can clean up...

My ideal get would be DaQuan Jones. 6’4” and 322 lbs of great interior pressure AND run defense. Might be pretty hard though to pry him away from Mike Vrabel and Dean Pees in Tennessee.

I'm with Hagan on this thought; while I think Davison has been better than credited, we missed an opportunity with Damon Harrison who not only stopped the run, but was critical to collapsing pockets for his DE teammates...

Sheldon Richardson is a player I would love to have On a one year with a second year option contract at about 9 million a year . Mo Wilkerson is another talented player that will be cut and he might have to take a prove it deal. DL could use a upgrade.
