We still need another slot CB. Someone needs to push Crawley. Butler's name will be linked to NO as a potential FA landing spot whether we want to believe it or not AND he's an excellent tackler.

No to Malcolm Butler. Like I said before the competition AFC east at reciever and QB is nothing compared to the NFC south. He been manhandled by Julio Jones and beaten constantly by recievers with speed. He will be a great slot corner cause they have help either by lbs or safeties but do the saints want to pay top dollar for a corner to play slot? I will give P. j the opportunity or Breaux to take over at slot. Malcolm can be a asset for a team with schemes to cover his flaws. His flaws or speed and height.

PJ played better on those boundaries (outside) in 2017 ... especially when there is help.
Breaux ...only coaches/trainers staff can tell you. He's an unknown. All we can hope for is that he competes at camp.

And then there is the possibility of drafting another corner.

Signing Gilmore may have been the right choice but benching Butler was the wrong choice. That being said I never thought Butler was worth a king's ransom. I still don't.

Worked out for us very well.
Had we gotten Butler, we likely would not have drafted Lattimore. Might have picked an OL earlier as well, meaning we would prob wouldn't have taken RR either.
