In the first trade of today's draft, the Saints acquired the 13th overall pick in the first round from the Texans and used it to select Oklahoma tackle Jammal Brown. In exchange, the Texans received the Saints first round pick (No. 16) and next year's third round pick.

The Panthers, who own the 14th pick and by all accounts were going to select Brown, just got sniped! New Orleans has been beefing up their line this offseason, which points to potentially bigger numbers for Deuce McAllister.
