This might be the last contract he signs, I'd take my time too. And if he does sign here and ends up being a key piece on D then none of this is gonna matter. Just relax and let it work itself out.

Not at all. When was the last time you've seen someone in the NFL act like this? It just seems like he thinks he's ****in royalty or something. All he's doing is driving up the price. It's annoying. And childish. Just my opinion. He's not royalty. He's not a musician on a tour. He's a football player. And it actually makes me really hope we don't sign him. Call Hankins.

I wouldn't care if he wore a powdered wig and was attended by royal guards on his epic tour as long as he helped us win and was the good teammate as he has appeared to be everywhere else.

Hey man, I don't like bad apples. And I know it isn't my money. But I don't like a bunch of cap space going to a guy that turns out like Galette (who had a hit on the cap for 2 seasons after he was gone).

I understand that I don't "know" he'll turn out that way. But I see some red flags. If he signs, great. I just hope that the Saints don't get into a bidding war and overpay. And I also hope that he's not some kind of douche. I've never liked the guy as a player. I've always thought he was a dirty and disrespectful player. If he can be signed without breaking the bank and plays respectable, I'm all for it. But I have my opinions of him. Just as I do other players in the NFL.

I understand some of you that don't like him as a player. That's not what I was addressing. I was talking about getting all bent out of shape over his "tour". I just don't get what the issue is with that.

Don't forget the $9M in 2018 roster bonuses are still in play. They can easily be converted to signing bonuses (team option, player has no input) and amortized over remaining contract years. This can make an additional $6M to $7M available immediately. Loomis loves writing roster bonuses into his contracts for this very purpose.

I need to up date this. Checking spotrac.com it appears that the Saints now have $12.46M in 2018 roster bonuses. That translates to almost $10M in available cap relief.

Saints - 17M (I'm not certain if that # includes PRob or Okafor)

DeathStar- 2M

Maybe Suh hates country music (sarcasm) ? I simply don't see a Suh signing in NO happening. I could be completely wrong but I don't see it.
