When? Peters has no DUI's, no off the field issues, no domestic violence. IIRC he received a team suspension for a sideline "outburst" (what millennial doesn't?). On a bad day, he's a top 10 CB every day. I don't think he's in play down for NO but even if he was, Sean Payton and his staff can manage personalities.

Would someone in the know please add anything else that he has done to be a detriment to the team? He sounds like a great talent. A third round and a back up player seems to be a pretty good offer.

. Ask yourself why would a team be willing to let a talented individual walk away that only been in the league 3 years under the rookie contract? We are not that desperate or untalented in the secondary to risk the youth we have presently have in the secondary.

During Week 13 against the New York Jets, Peters threw a penalty flag into the crowd while the Jets were trying to convert on a 2-point conversion. His teammate, Steven Nelson was flagged for defensive holding prior to this incident, and Peters was also flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct for throwing the flag of side judge Keith Washington into the crowd; the holding penalty was accepted while the unsportsmanlike penalty was declined. Peters was seemingly ejected, but instead retreated to the locker room and later returned to the field. Peters did not play for the remainder of the game as the Jets won 38–31.[14] For the incident during the game against the Jets, the Chiefs announced on December 6 that Peters would be suspended for the next game.[15] Three days after the suspension was announced, it was revealed that Peter's suspension also was the result of an argument he got into with an unnamed coach for the Chiefs. For this incident in the Jets game, he was also fined $24,309 by the NFL for unsportsmanlike conduct.[16] He returned in Week 15 against the Chargers, and recorded two interceptions on Philip Rivers in a 30-13 win, earning him AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
