Waymer played cornerback from 1980, when he was drafted, through 1988; he only played Free Safety for the Saints for one year (1989), Gene Atkins took over at SS, Brett Maxie moved to the bench...

He signed. We can draft BPA and not worry about KV.

maybe this a stupid question, but how were we able to sign him before FA actually started?
