I am interested to see what Harris does this year. But we have a lot on our backend. The D is shaping up nice and this while the offense is improving too. Never can tell from one year to the next, but we should be better than last year. At leat we are on paper, and we have a lot more depth too. Our linebackers have depth too and we have some real solid pieces and players. If one of our young tightends steps up as a rookie...going to be a tough offense to handle

Here is a name that we hadn't talked about all that much ... Just looking at his contract (4yr/24M), I expected him to perform better. He's been hit or miss vs the run & far too often he's been out of position.

I know PFF grading doesn't always tell the true story of how a player performed, but AJ scored at 36.7 and it showed on Sundays :rolleyes:.

Klein must play better in 2018.

That’s interesting. He stinks at CB but he could have a shot as a FS depending on how smoothly he makes the transition.

Still not sure about Natrell Jamerson as an outside CB. He seems like such a perfect fit at SS.

I'd see Linden Stephens as more of a SS with some added weight, bulk - especially if he has strengths at the nickel CB...

Actually, Jamerson caught my attention with his switch to FS - reading and ballhawking; but you're right, with his coverage skills, he'd be a nice fit at SS...

I'd prefer a SS that can honest coverage in the slot, versus a SS who's a liability in coverage and can only rush the passer a couple of times per game...

^^^ This could become a special group at WR. If Meredith comes back 100%, he's the #2. Of course Ginn will continue to have a role on those fly routes & I'm sure Sean will utilize Tre in some type of route. Definitely fast enough for deep routes.

I'm not worried about Davenport. For a dude that large and long, he hustles which translates to him wearing out opposing players & win late.

Coach Payton mentioned that big guys expend LESS energy & can stay healthy which probably meant going up to get him in the draft vs sitting and taking a guy like Landry.

I really believe we could potentially have a Jason Taylor/Ware type player in New Orleans for many years to come.

I see Davenport starting the season being used in definite pass rush situations only; 3rd down, etc...

However; I think he outgrows that in short order and becomes an every down player P.D.Q.!
