MLB (2) 51 - Manti Te'o (OUT) ... any word on Manti?

It seems like he 's been out for over a month now.

He returned to practice last Thursday, but was limited (knee). They probably felt giving him through the bye would be best. I'll bet he's back to face the Ravens.

Te'o has, at least, started practicing again; still was a big mistake to let Stupar go - don't know why but he is a starter quality LBer in this league...

Stupar is still a back up to B.J. Goodson.

Stupar might've appeared to be a weak link, but that opossum always made plays...

I still believe the past shoulder injuries have him "whiffing" on tackles. It's in his mind (mental) now.

------
I've been avoiding saying it for a while now on Anz (since that draft day) because surely I cannot notice his flaws (by watching a single game) less than those who drafted him.

In his Sr bowl, I watched him closely after seeing a white guy with long hair when we needed a LB badly. He flashed in speed (and hair) only.

Was out of position or running into the trash. We already had enough LBs doing that.

Made just enough plays (when it didn't "matter") that his stats and other flash could fool an evaluator just enough to make them think they could coach him up.

Thought "mistake" from that day. Don't care how fast he is. Don't care if he can cover. He's a liability on the field.

Robertson is way better. Maybe even Klein. Klein appeared better at Carolina at least.

Whoever among the Saints drafters who falls in love with speedy LBs needs to be ignored.

Well here's my theory on Saints linebackers during the Payton era, specifically addressing Robertson, Stupar...

I believe Robertson, Stupar sit because they'd break from D.A.'s scheme and made plays and because of not staying within the D.A.'s flawed system, they're not trusted...

I do believe Anzalone and Klein both can be excellent linebackers, have more than enough talent, but they trust D.A.'s terrible schemes and play, but end up looking worse for it...

He's even behind Tae Davis on the depth chart.
