We had bowling balls in my day - I get it, get what DA was trying to duplicate; but smallish DT3s that are disruptive in the NFL are very, very rare...

And Rankins is not even close to the disruptiveness of Aaron Donald; there's a reason why the prototype size are bigger, so they're not bullied out of the assigned zone...

Hence why Rankins was getting looks at the DE position even though Onyemata had already been in there at DE since last season - to find a better role for Rankins...

We still need a DT3 opposite Cam that can sack the quarterback and draw consistent attention for teammates to close the deal...
