DL TAVEN BRYAN FLORIDA Taven Bryan can play DE, DT3; they're are comparison to JJ Watt, but he's more of a Howie Long type... 91: R3P27 LB JOSEY JEWELL IOWA MLB that is smart, instinctual with quick reads and can cover - passed on Vander Esch because of this prospect... 127: R4P27 G WYATT TELLER VIRGINIA TECH Big lean, chiseled former defensive lineman who can put his massive manpaws on defenders and just maul... 147: R5P10 TE DALTON SCHULTZ STANFORD Untapped potential as a receiver was never realized in Stanford's scheme and one of the best blockers in the group... 164: R5P27 G SKYLER PHILLIPS IDAHO STATE Has a terrific first punch to stun defenders with a lower center of gravity to anchor against bull rushers and also a Center candidate... 189: R6P15 EDGE KYLIE FITTS UTAH IF this guy had stayed healthy, we'd be talking about a early second day draft pick; terrific small area quickness, spin move... 201: R6P27 WR DYLAN CANTRELL TEXAS TECH Came out of nowhere at the combine to post top five numbers in nearly all categories except the 40, only flaw in this sure-handed big receiver... 245: R7P27 CB MICHAEL JOSEPH DUBUQUE Really raw prospect and that may be a good thing paired with the right former CB now secondary coach; excellent ball tracking instincts... FanSpeak Draft Summary Note: Passed on certain prospects that felt obviously wouldn't be there; and no, not Lattimore's falling to No. 11, but second round picks in the fifth kinda thing... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: Fanspeak Draft Simulator
R1P27: RASHAAN EVANS - LB - ALABAMA
- ILB/OLB to bring youth and a top tier LB to our corp R3P27: MARK ANDREWS - TE - OKLAHOMA - Big 6'5 TE, knowing as a pass catcher. Was the fastest TE at the combine. ALl he did was put up numbers from Mayfield R4P27: D.J. CHARK - WR - LSU - had a great Senior Bowl. Good height. Brees could work with him R5P10: JEREMY REAVES - S - SOUTH ALABAMA - Small school guy who had a great Senior Bowl. Has some work to do but would be a great 3rd safety in a year R5P27: BRANDON PARKER - OT - NORTH CAROLINA A&T - smaller school mammoth of an OT. Had a decent senior bowl. Dominated his division and, with coaching, could be a more than adequate backup tackle R6P15: COLBY GOSSETT - OG - APPALACHIAN STATE - another small school offensive lineman who performed well at the Senior Bowl. Adds youth to our line, and at a position of need, especially if Kelemete leaves R6P27: JAVON ROLLAND-JONES - DE - ARKANSAS STATE - finished his collegiate career with 43.5 sacks. Has some work to do for the NFL, had a good Shrine Game week. Developmental player R7P27: JALEN DAVIS - CB - UTAH STATE - Not a big name, but was the 3rd best CB, per PFF, in terms of passer rating when targeted, allowing a 30.5 passer rating. And he was targeted a lot over the course of the season. Not bad for a 7th round pick |

Re: Fanspeak Draft Simulator
DE Hubbard - Instant starter
OG Smith - Much needed depth. Kelemete likely gone. Armstead and Peat with injury concerns. WR Smith - Big, fast, play maker opposite CGM. Instant starter. RB Scarbrough - Saints need a third option. Ingram isn't getting any younger and Kamara plays violently. DT Jones - Skilled big man in the middle. Revolving door last year for Saints. WR Quinn - Too good to pass up. Who knows about Snead? CB Jackson - Competition. Fiery disposition. LB Kalambayi - Can play all spots. Rush the passer. Smart. The TE's didn't come my way. I don't see the need to draft a QB until Drew retires. |
