Solid career but not sure why we signed him to this long contract at his age. Is he really going to be on the roster at 34? |

Re: Ted Gin Jr.
He actually looked good last season. I was expecting him to be captain butterfingers but did well. I really liked his speed.

I think he's 32.

Re: Ted Gin Jr.
At the end of his contract though he would be 34. I guess he could still play with his speed and those end around runs, a new wrinkle in his game. Carolina and us were the only ones to expand that roll and it's very effective.

Re: Ted Gin Jr.
Not sure I get this thread, missing N and all.
Are you saying 70 catches isn't worth $4.5 m? seems like a bargain, and his speed certainly hasn't diminished and he has definitely fumbled |

For you stat (Targets in 2017) guys ...
Cooks : 103 = 60 receptions Ginn Jr : 64 = 50 receptions Oh and Ginn is still just about as good as stretching defenses as Cooks was on deep routes. Even at 32, he's still fast as hell & highly productive. Until someone can beat him out of his position, I want him on this team. |

Re: Ted Gin Jr.
Ginn, is there to stretch the field and when Brees sees the defense doesn't respect him, Brees makes him pay...
You don't pay No. 1 wideout money to that WR and if you want to have a defense, running game, et cetera, you spread the money around... |

Re: Ted Gin Jr.
We could use another burner WR nonetheless. DJ Clark looks pretty fast.

This. Ginn doesn't suck. His value is that he can fly. He can clear out a defense as well as just about anyone.

Re: Ted Gin Jr.
Payton threw defenses off early using gadget plays early on and utilizing him like only Payton can! He did not have the drops that I was worried about and was great in space. I believe if he stays healthy he can still be valuable again.
