Criticize all you want, but ...

... this draft looks very very good to me.

Jamal Brown was the highest rated OL on most boards and now our offensive line looks to be dominant.

I'm sorry some of you got your hearts broken (and I did too) when DJ wasn't selected with the pick, but Jamal Brown was rated a better RT than what DJ was as a LB.

The "expert" opinion is that there's little question Jamal will be a Pro Bowl RT but there are a lot of questions surronding DJ's ability to handle the pro game. (not from me but from the experts)

Moving on to the 2nd round -- Bullock? Okay ... that pick confuses me. We really didn't need a FS. But, the guy was rated anywhere from a 1st round pick to a second day pick. Judging by his production he seems like one hell of a ball-hawking safety. Not a real need, although Bellamy is getting up there in age!

To the 3rd round: Alfred Fincher? Who the hell is Alfred Fincher. Only the most underrated ILB in the draft. A guy who is considered to have the most upside of any ILB in the draft. A guy who is considered a GREAT LEADER! (where are all of you guys who claim leadership is the most important quality?)

You couldn't ask for a harder worker than Alfred Fincher. This is a guy who just "gets it done !! Am I just making this up? Nope. You can call the "experts" wrong. And they could be wrong. They could also be wrong about every player in the draft. Including all those LB many fans wanted. Fincher has gotten it done on the field and I'm more happy with him than any of the other LB's we could have selected in the 2nd.. And aftering hearing the experts commment on DJ and afther watching DJ, he didn't look like "all that" to me, anyway.

Looks like a successful draft to me so far. Will it translate into a playoff berth for the Saints. Hmmmm .. don't know, but I'm sure looking foward to seeing Deuce run behind our offensive line. And I'm looking foward to Brooks having a lot of time to find our speedy receivers.

And this Fincher kid. I'm real excited about him and I love is attitude.

Where are the guys who love leadership? Money where your mouth is?

;)
