Definitely better than Daniels and there is no telling how much better he could become behind Drew for 2 years.

The whole QB grooming concept is a fallacy. How many QB's have played behind Brady, Brees, Manning. And how many of them turned gold.Maybe a couple out of 20-30 of them.

Actually many went on to starting roles. None were a huge success but nevertheless they started.

Re: Saints interested in a QB

Savage is a legit # two and even started the year in front of whats-his-name

backups have suddenly become a dime a dozen, though, so as long as we don't overpay and we don't get Petty or McCarron, I'd be happy.

And about 6 other guys are going to be out of work after the draft

Jimmy Garoppolo appears to be on his way to one of the few statistics.

I don't know if I would call it a fallacy. You had Aaron Rodgers behind Farve. Perhaps you put a guy behind someone to groom them/develop because they might not project being a Brees or Farve. But they are the best you are going to get so you might as well start grooming them until someone does come along.

What about Mark Rypien, Foles, Hostetler, Williams and Dilfer. All of these guys were 2nd string but won the Superbowl. It can happen at any time.

Add Drew Brees to the list of "Back Up" QB's he played in one game his rookie year.
