Why the hell not? He knows the system, knows the defense, plays hurt, if he's affordable, you do the deal...

You're not committing long-term to him unless he plays otherwise...

If the other guys are better, then he's a reserve with some serious game experience...

And if a team gets thin and needs a starting safety on a reasonable contract, you just bought yourself a fourth or fifth round draft pick...

There is still room on the team for Vaccaro, basically a 1 year deal to replace Rafael Bush.

Keeping Vaccaro on a short term contract would make sense. If he can't find a home elsewhere, you get a chance to keep an experienced DB under the team's terms rather than his. He isn't an "every down" player but has value in a back up role. He has talent and knows the system....not all bad! He isn't what the Saints expected when they drafted him, but still can contribute under the right terms and conditions. jmho

Splash plays made here and there, then next series blown coverage & subsequent TD. Kenny is not a very smart football player & made bone headed mistakes at the most inopportune time.

Seems like a cool dude but I'd move on from KV. Draft another one.

Vonn isn't that wonderful either (yet). Hopefully Coleman is solid. Having KV fill in for Bush's spot would be fine with me.

I'm not the biggest Vonn "fan" but he's developing. Solid in his role ... nothing special but solid. The way I see it, Vonn is an upgrade over Bush & Kurt is the upgrade over Kenny.

Oh and we got our slot guy in P Robinson

Third straight year of defensive upgrades and we still have the draft remaining ... and more free agency.
