Should we draft Princeton quarterback Chad Kanoff?

The New England Patriots put Princeton quarterback Chad Kanoff through a private workout, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss. Assistant quarterbacks coach Jerry Schuplinski took the lead in the workout with Kanoff.

Kanoff originally committed to Vanderbilt, an SEC school, before changing his mind as joining Princeton, where he racked up 7,510 passing yards, 42 touchdowns and 22 interceptions. In his final college season, Kanoff completed 73.2 percent of his passes, an Ivy League record, for 3,474 passing yards, 29 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

At his pro day, Kanoff measured 6-foot-4, 219 pounds. He recorded a 4.91-scored 40-yard dash, a 32.5-inch vertical and a 9-foot-3 broad jump.

Patriots looking like he's their target.

Maybe a later round pick...

Should be a smart guy if he went to Princeton and those stats are good regardless of level of competition.

We’ll probably be able to invite him to mini-camp for a tryout as an UDFA.

There you go. unless Mayfield falls to 27 or Lauletta falls to us in the third, ride it out and build team depth for a legit run...

We'll have time to draft a premium quarterback at the top of the first round when Brees retires, the season then will likely be lost then anyways...

Even if we "tank" on the season, we draft a Carson Wentz type and rejoin the elite...

I’ve met Chad. He’s an impressive young man. Any team would be lucky to have him on their roster.

Re: Should we draft Princeton quarterback Chad Kanoff?

If the Pats like him he may not make it to UDFA. I am not prepared to use draft capital on a QB for a couple of more years. When Drew loses his arm strength he will be able to manage the game while we train his replacement.

Until then we need the big uglies on offense and defense. But mostly O-line to protect Drew.....open holes for RB's and then protect Drew's replacement.
