Romo is a color commentator, not a play by play announcer. There is a huge difference. There is no way Strief could handle that job. Doing play by play takes years of practice.

Anyone listened to Joel Myers broadcast a Pelicans game? I think he would be a solid choice as well.

Did not realize he was the voice of the Lakers before.

Joel Myers could put a colicky baby to sleep in Parasols on St. Patrick's Day...

The last couple of pre-season games, he was absolutely awful, sounded like a scrub announcer completely unfamiliar with the Saints...

If he was really interested in a long-term gig, he'd been trying to set a better impression the past two seasons...
