Re: Saints need to remain in the 'quarterback business' during this draft
More names for the stellar "Saints Drafted QB List" Tyler Palko, Sean Candfield, Garrett Grayson..........

We can get this guy in the later rounds, maybe even UDFA.

Re: Saints need to remain in the 'quarterback business' during this draft
There are three quarterbacks that I like in this draft - Baker Mayfield, Josh Allen and Kyle Lauletta...
Lauletta is the only one we'd have a shot at if we move back with our first round pick which I'd rather get a D-Linemen, or... Give up our third, fourth and possibly another pick which I'd hate to do that as well... |

Re: Saints need to remain in the 'quarterback business' during this draft
I hope that the Saints don't even think about a quarterback in this draft filled with garden-variety QB's. Regardless of the fact that he's approaching forty years of age, the window is now and may close in 2-4 years.
That said, BPA, BPA, BPA... |

I would wait one more year before drafting a QB. I don't like this QB draft class at all. I think Payton said it perfectly.

Re: Saints need to remain in the 'quarterback business' during this draft
My guess is that Payton already has a feel for the QB's coming out next year and likes that crop better. Don't reach for a player just because we feel the need to eventually replace Drew. BPA has turned around this franchise........I hope we continue to do that. However, I don't mind packaging picks to move back up for someone we covet like Kamara last year. After all we've got eight draft picks and won't be able to sign all of them along with our usual strong group of UDFA's.
