Agreed. He may have been to a lot of Saints fans but Ricky was hardly a bust. A lot of pressure in NO & having the worst negotiated contract/playing for free ... just a bad fit.

Sully is at the top as we gave up two #1s for that waste of space. To this day, I have no idea WTF the Saints were thinking.

Can I rub salt in that wound, MI?

Do you know some of the players among the next 10 picks?

OT Jordan Gross, Panthers (All-Pro)
DT Kevin Williams, Vikings (All-Pro, 5Xs)
DE Terrell Suggs, Ravens (All-Pro)
CB Marcus Trufant, Seahawks (Very Underated)
DL Ty Warren, Patriots (All-Pro)
SS Troy Polamalu (All-Pro, 4Xs 1st/2Xs 2nd)

And by the way, Mickey Loomis aka The Mickster was General Manager, Jim Haslett's enabler...

I vividly remember that day. I thought (and hoped) we were trading up for Trufant. I think I probably even high fived my brother out of excitement when the trade was announced, I was so sure.... Then, it happened. I was instantly enraged (I was young) and shocked. I hated the dude from day one and I still kinda do.

Re: Top Three 1st Round Busts---Saints History

Don't forget to enter the Second Annual Kevin Hagan Memorial Black & Gold Pretend General Manager Championship and submit your "educated" guesses of what the Saints' front office will do with each of their picks. Check it out and read the rules.

Please realize this annual contest is no named in honor of our old friend, and draft time guru, Kevin Hagan, who we lost earlier this year. Hagan was co-winner of last season's contest. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by giving it a chance.

19-0 Baby!

This thread sucks and is only worthy on the day after we lose a Superbowl which hopefully never happen.

If there is a bust worse than Sullivan than I'm glad I don't remember it.
