Strengths:

Compact frame with good mass. Plays with admirable toughness through catch contact and as a blocker. Operates with good pad level into his initial block in run game. Runs feet under his hands to create leverage and sustain blocks. Displays footwork and angles to become a more competent blocker at point of attack. Can make necessary adjustments to pull in throws that are left behind him on crossing routes. Good scrambler to find open space when route stalls and play extends. Used on shovel passes, as goal line wildcat option and as runner on fake punts

Remember Payton kept Pierre Thomas over a draft pick in A Pittman? More recently UDFA Ken Crawley starting over PJ.

I really like Yelder though. One of these UDFA will make this team & contribute.

My money is on Serigne. Yes, I’m a homer, but the guy is a great pass catcher. Set the all-time ACC records for catches, yards, and TDs by a TE, breaking Eric Ebron’s marks from a few years ago. If he played at Miami, he would’ve been drafted.
