Tallest group of WRs in the league?

It looks to me as if we are trying to mask Brees's deep ball power and focus more on his accuracy with jump balls with this lineup. I could be wrong but that's what it looks like to me. His deep balls do tend to float.

Our receivers are made to look better by Drew Brees. Right now we are building a receiving core that can go up and fight for the ball efficiently for possession on quick slants, back shoulder fades or the deep ball. These attributes will help Drew's eventual replacement. Now that I think about it we look good for life after Drew.....which I don't even want to think about! But we do have a dynamic young defense, a good offensive line and tall possession receivers with a little speed. Did I mention the strong running game to help ease the transition when Drew hangs up his cleats in a few years? |

the tall receivers could be there by design to help him out when his accuracy starts to drop off. |

I will tell you know that Drew Brees will be here as long as he can guarantee setting all the records and since Brady has just reconfirmed that he wants to play until his mid forties, so will Brees. I guarantee that and he'll continues producing at a high level.

Re: Tallest group of WRs in the league?
I see a lot of potential matchup issues for our opponents with this receiving group, 3 receivers 6’ 3” and over plus tight end and Kamara out of the backfield ... me thinks SP is deep in his play development lab brewing up a new Voodoo Route Tree.

Re: Tallest group of WRs in the league?
With tall guys I think a lot about those red zone plays where Drew kinda puts it up there and the guy goes up and brings it down in the corner, the side or back of the end zone. Jimmy Graham was sorta the king of these, back of the end zone, side of the end zone, grabbing the ball like a basketball scrum, but others on the team have been really good at those same types of red zone plays over the years, too.

Re: Tallest group of WRs in the league?
Why is Carr on this list? I mean, he's got little chance to get on the field barring injuries. And Smith is probably not gonna do much either because of Ginn and Meredith and Coleman blocks.
