I'm a BYU hater but I gotta admit, Hill is the real deal when he's healthy. He's a great athlete and a very good quarterback. The only real knock against him is that he can't stay healthy. I think the label "injury prone" gets used way to much nowadays but in this case there's no way to describe him. I've only seen J.T. Barrett play a few times but I've never seen anything in him that compares to Hill.

All that said, if I had to pick between the two as a successor for Drew, I'd take Barrett because I don't think Hill could make it through an entire NFL season.

I would rather take hill and go 7-5 before his injury than take JT and go 4-12 on the season

I will just say let's see who ends up on winning now.

Neither one is going to be Brees' successor because Brees will be playing for at least four more years. His successor is probably going through spring practices while preparing for his Senior season in high school.

Drew's replacement is on another team and will be signed as a free agent when Brees retires.

Someone make this thread a sticky because everyone has an opinion.

These guys are all probably clip board holders. Drew has several more years in him. He is much too competitive to just walk away with all those records within his reach.

Definitely! There is no way Drew's successor was in this draft even if we had Cleveland's candy jar. Even if Drew was hanging up his cleats! Not a great amount of talent available in the QB position this year.

I am intrigued with the idea of him switching to another position though. We could really use another WR or a CB!

So he writes how the Saints should be excited then tweets about another article that argues Ohio St is now gonna run a pro-style offense with JTB gone?!?

He just ran out of things to write about the Saints and he had a deadline coming up...

I would love to see what he could do with a dual threat QB.

What’s the knock on this guy? Why wasn’t he drafted?
Played for a good school in a decent conference and excelled.

Played for an option team-Air Force. The word is that Peyton likes him. Give him a year or two more under Drew Brees and maybe Taysom Hill is the next Steve Young.

Hill, too many devastating injuries. 4 total. Amazing he stayed upright the whole season but non really because he hardly played.
