this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I've been reading all of the "instant" analysis of the draft. From Mel Kiper to the fans ... I've heard a little bit of everything. Just the same ... the draft can't accurately be judged for 3-5 years. That is ...

Instant analysis of the draft!!
There are many times a draft cannot be valued until about 2-3 years down the road -- that said there are many 1st years that give a very good indication of how it went -- while we cannot say what would have happened had we drafted DJ (even if he is an all pro in KC doesn\'t necessary translate to here) we can tell this about this year -- if our offense does not show marked improvement this year === and our defense stays about the same we can conclude we should have drafted DJ.
