Mark Ingram Suspended Four Games(Update: Appeal denied)

Updating a previous item, suspended RB Mark Ingram's appeal has already been heard and denied by the NFL.

There was apparently some confusion on this Wednesday morning when Ingram's agent released a statement, saying they planned to appeal the four-game PEDs ban. That's already been done, which is why the league announced the suspension on Tuesday. Ingram will be sidelined Weeks 1-4 (vs. TB, vs. CLE, at ATL, at NYG), leaving Alvin Kamara locked into RB1 duties.

This, of course, doesn't mean it is completely over. The original ruling and appeal of the ruling have been heard and they are waiting for the written statement of the decision. While Ingram's team cannot further appeal the ruling itself, they can appeal the suspension trying to get it thrown out (not likely) or reduced.

This is the "further option" mentioned in the press release from his new agent:

The arbitrator's opinion is due on or before Wednesday, May 16. Upon having the opportunity to review the arbitrator's opinion, we will explore what further options are needed.
