Since I was out at Saints Camp, working my other job producing WWL radio’s Draft Fest, I kept a running journal of the day’s festivities. It’s a whole new world without the big man—Buddy D....


5:50 p.m. – Saints just took safety Josh Bullocks of Nebraska. My first thought was, “What the $#%?� Maybe they forgot they signed Dwight Smith in free agency? Then again, Jay Bellamy is 50-years-old and if they have an injury, do you really want Mel Mitchell or Steve Gleason taking a lot of snaps? Me neither.

For all you people wanting Georgia linebacker Odell Thurman in round two, remember this: the guy reportedly flunked three drug tests and one Saints front office person wanted the team to take him off the draft board completely. In other words…Thurman might have more drugs in his system than Keith Richards did at Woodstock. The guy likes to party, so New Orleans might not have been the best spot for him.
