Old school NFL scout meeting with Boston Scott: Listened to a lot of your games, "for some reason you sounded taller on the radio"...

Meggett was a good all around player. Long career. Wish he could have got his life together after football. If Scott is close to Meggett we are in great shape. Meggett also had an very good rookie season.

I predict that Ingram is scared of Boston Scott.

Not. Ingram is scared of what all NFL running backs are scared of: age. He's on the last year of his current contract, which is already upside down. The likelyhood of signing another long term high dollar contract at age 29 is unlikely.

Economics will get Ingram out of New Orleans faster than Scott ever could.

So true but Ingram hasn't been over used of have much of an injury history. Not sure what the Saints are thinking there.

If anything, I hope we see some of the Tarik Cohen type production from Boston in 2018. Saints didn't draft Scott to be the "bell cow" but more so a special teams threat who can possible lessen the burden on Ingram & AK.

I'm hopeful he's Marcus Murphy without the fumbles. He will also push Lasco.

First of all, if any of you haven't, you need to go and watch Scott's game film...

He's not Tarik Cohen nor Darren Sproles, he's a more physical runner, and that's the first of two reasons why Smash is right about Ingram being worried...

The second reason is Ingram's contract request vs his age; Ingram becomes expendable if Scott or any of the other RB not named Kamara, earn trust...

Ingram should shut his pie hole, do his time, finish out his contract, and the team should make the best decision, even if that means moving on...

I believe running backs have an expiration date regardless of workload. I just can't see the Saints paying Ingram premium free agent money for a contract that ends when he's 32 years old. So he'll likely hit free agency and get a 1-2 year free agent deal with someone desparate for an effective RB.

The Saints will move on and find someone else to fill the role. Scott may be the guy, or maybe not.

IMO 2018 is likely Mark Ingram's last year in New Orleans.

3 minutes of between the tackles/power running football. Let's hope Boston transitions well at the next level.
