C'mon now ... this cat has size, speed & blocks well. Trust me, Sean Payton & his staff have a clear vision for Meredith in this offense. Much like they had with Kamara. Pre injury this guy was putting up serious numbers with Matt Barkley throwing him the ball. Don't forget who coached him in Chicago (Curtis J). If all goes as planned with rehab, we have a legit #2 WR threat.

BTW, don't see the Pryor comparison at all. Trust and believe :bng:.

He only got on the field in Chicago due to bodies dropping. They were also not a competitive team. He is a QB-WR converter like Pryor. I think he will be a good pick up but he still has a long long way to go.

I'm not saying he sucks but watch his highlights. He was wide open most of the time. I do though hope I am 100% wrong and I eat crow.

He's open because he's a polished route runner. He converted to QB early in college and led his team in catches his final two seasons. Pryor never played WR until he came to the NFL. Apples and oranges. Meredith was a natural WR that played high school QB. Pryor was an athlete that played QB because he was the best athlete. He's not an NFL proficient player at either position, though.

Not sure why people don't get this. Possibly another reason why Brandon Cooks is no longer in NO. Gotta have the complete package at this level.

I think it was a great gamble. I was actually pushing for us singing him. He is unpolished though. New QB, new playbook and has not played football in a while. Most of what he has to do is mental. He has the physical ability. Can he do it? I do not know but I hope. Looking at his highlights, he was on a bad team snagging grabs in junk time. One of his TD's was a freakin hail mary that dinged off of a couple of players.

And, he was never considered as the two or three. That only happened due to injuries which fan boys will ignore. He was their best option by default.
