The league is really dug in on safety on kickoffs but is lacking in other areas.

I really question the data of "5 times more likely to be injured on a KO"

I'm not saying coaches are not part of the Competition Committee, I am saying that those coaches probably had an idea of the result of the proposed rule and either the ownership portion of the committee ignored their input or the coaches didn't share those ideas forcibly enough.

Although, when it comes down to it, the owners get the final vote on the proposed changes coming out of the committee.

We have tackling drills regularly at rugby practice......I don't think it's allowed in football practice anymore.:wink:
