Willie Snead, grateful for time with Saints, says 'it worked out for the best'

Best of luck to him, until he plays the Saints!

THIBODAUX -- Willie Snead would like to have stayed with the New Orleans Saints, but once the Baltimore Ravens made a contract offer, he was ready leave.

"I think it worked out for the best," Snead said Friday (June 22) while back in Louisiana for the Manning Passing Academy, where he is working as a counselor for the fourth time in five years.

”Snead said he underwent a toe surgery that impacted his offseason preparation...”

I don’t remember hearing anything about this last year.

Probably because of HIPAA. If it was during the off-season and he passed the physical he wouldn't have had to disclose it to the team.

I haven't felt the need for Snead in quite some time. He never bounced back after his suspension. I wish him well though.

Willie will either make it or break it in Baltimore...
however wait till he gets a load of Flacco.

Last year it was the rare snead sighting
Big dropoff

Glad he left with good thoughts

The guy got paid, so hats off to him. Best of luck

nice to have a player leave on good terms as well- not as common as it should be for us

Actually, I'd say the vast majority of players that have left the Saints leave on good terms. The problem is you only hear about the very few that leave with an issue and those are the only ones remembered.
