Jake Jake Jake to Adrian Adrian Adrian?
I won\'t be chanting for AM. His character issues remind me of other players who\'ve come here with \"character issues\" (A. Connell, K. Collins, etc.) They just don\'t seem to do much in N.O.
Maybe its just to much temptation. I don\'t think AM is really any competition for AB - and that makes me sad and afraid for this season. I\'ve wanted to replace Brooks for two years now, and now we will go into year three..... |

You were looking to get more responses from people high on Adrian -- I am high on him -- I think it was well worth a 5th round pick -- however I am not ready to saay he is an elite backup -- after pre-season I may be ready to say put him in if AB is hurt like he was. We knew what we had with Jake --- Adrian is still a question mark -- sometimes I think you are just trying to make waves on this forum

I\'ve booed AB. I\'ll probably boo him again if he fails to live up to his (largely self-generated) hype. But if A-Mac takes the field and isn\'t ready, are we gonna boo him too? |

I think we ought to keep this AM thing in perspective. A raw but yet talented QB... whom we got great value for if he stays out of trouble which I think he\'ll do. I don\'t think he is ready to take over the team anytime soon... If Brooks goes down I say at this point its Bouman or even Kingsbury over AM.

2006? 2007? Again, no one is saying he\'s #1 going into TC. At least not anyone here. Is anyone jumping the gun on this kid? I think everyone (here that is) is keeping it in perspective. Maybe some other boards are screaming A-Mac week one, but the folks on this board know better. But again, we are a bit more knowledgable than those other boards. ;) |

SI Don Banks listed him as one of the players picked outside of the high draft picks to make immediate impact this year...
Adrian McPherson, quarterback, New Orleans: In going to New Orleans in the fifth round, the former Florida State and Arena Football League talent might have gone to one of the few teams where his raw, but obvious potential could be tapped at least on a limited basis in 2005. It all depends on which Aaron Brooks shows up from week to week, but if McPherson can handle the playbook and show head coach Jim Haslett the ability to handle the mental aspects of the job, it\'s not a stretch to say he could leapfrog backup Todd Bouman and challenge for starting reps at some point. If McPherson flashes some of his eye-opening athleticism in the preseason, giving the Saints a taste of his talent for making plays, the quarterback decision could be more difficult than anyone imagines in the Big Easy. |
