This is our first blurb on Vereen since last Week 17, showing just how little interest he had as a free agent the previous four months. Now 29, Vereen didn't make much of an impact in his three years with the Giants after spending the first four in New England. A satellite back who offers very little as a runner, Vereen has 221 career catches for 1,865 yards and 11 scores. He's no lock to make the Saints' roster and is only insurance behind Alvin Kamara and company. Jul 18 - 11:35 AM

Not sure they ever used him properly after some very good years with the Pats. Good depth pickup and maybe he sees some action in Cadet-type role.
