That headline was true in each of the past two seasons. Last year, in 2017, the Saints were coming off three years of rebuilding and were more stable than they had been since 2013. It resulted in a deep playoff run that should have led them to at least the NFC Championship game.
In 2016 they were coming off the second year of the rebuild, yet were decimated by injuries which severely hindered their full potential. Yet, they were still more well-rounded than they had been since 2013. And this year the rebuild is mostly complete. A final few bricks have been added, including one major one, in my opinion, in Davenport, which has hopefully given them the ability to overcome all odds this season to bring home Lombardi number two. 19-0 Baby! |

This team might have gone through a rebuild stage with players,but I believe the hiring of Ireland with some new fresh coaching,mainly on the defensive side,is the main reason this team is what it is right now. The last few drafts have been huge also

Yes, that rebuild definitely included the coaching/scouting staffs and the front office.
