no doubt the kid has some game... but he also has two, count em two bum knees... he has a slim chance if any to clear medical waivers
|
Ambulance Chase
on top of that mentally i don\'t think he\'s ready.... this is the same cat that tried to appeal to the NCAA for a 6th year of eligibility citing medical hardships.... the NCAA denied the appeal and voila he entered the draft.... that shows me right there he ain\'t ready to play with the big boys

So then why draft him so hi???

You know who has missed a third of the games he could have played in the last two years, and no one thinks sucks (or is an injury disaster)?
Darrin Howard. Guys get hurt. Sometimes they recover. Willis McGahee anyone? Look, I\'m not high on Lyman, and I think he was a terrible pick in the 4th, but I don\'t see calling him down on the basis of injuries just yet. It is not like he has a degnerative knee condition, right? |

He\'s a prospect. He probably wouldn\'t see the field this year if he was 1000% healthy. He\'s got Horn, Stallworth, Henderson, Lewis, and Gardner in front of him. He\'s bound for the practice squad, a year of conditioning and we may have a sleeper. This guy is destined for contributing in 2006. Yea, the 4th round was too high for him. But thats no reason to throw him under the bus. I\'m pulling for the kid. [Edited on 3/5/2005 by Danno] |
