Saints Memorabilia
What's some of the best personal Saints memorabilia y'all have out there? I came across this on Friday at an estate sale ...
What I believe is a 1967 Saints pennant. Although, if anyone else has any better identifying information I would appreciate it. https://scontent-dfw5-2.xx.fbcdn.net...34&oe=5BCA6AD6 |

Re: Saints Memorabilia
Have an Archie Manning autographed photo that Archie gave me at the Convention Center my Mom and I attended for her printing business; it was my second one...
Funny story, mostly European and South American Printers attending the convention didn't know who he was; so we walked right up to Archie for an autograph... Mom who'd spotted him, yammered on and on, after 10 minutes of my Mom embarrassing me (I was 18) and I got to sit and talk with him for nearly an hour... Archie was so gracious and gave me some very invaluable life advice and shared experience that I could never repay to him... Also had a Dome Patrol poster, signed by all four LBers, that my Mom & Brother inadvertently sold; my brother, who's mentally handicapped gave me his for solace... It's not signed, but it means more to me for why he gave it... Ex-wife still has my youth Manning jersey (my marchisio keeps me from wearing other men's jerseys) but my daughter who had it, promised it will stay in our family... |
Re: Saints Memorabilia
I have a signed Al Dodd photograph somewhere. I had a 2010 football signed by Brees, Payton and Bush, but I auctioned it off at one of my fundraisers.

Re: Saints Memorabilia
Mine is a beautifully crafted home made wooden football signed by Drew and several other players. My second favorite is a picture of my twin brother and I standing on each side of the Lombardi.
I use my autographed towels from training camp when I go to referee at rugby tournaments. They always get a ton of comments and I gave one away recently to a young lady who squealed when I told here she could keep the one she was holding. I have quite a few and I want to make good use of them. I like to think that Drew would be proud. |
Re: Saints Memorabilia
Signed Drew Brees & Deuce McAllister authentic helmets pre super bowl. Deuce and Will Smith signed NFL footballs. Pierre Thomas autographed cap.

Re: Saints Memorabilia
I have a couple Saints min-footballs that I took to the first ever Saints WhoDat Fan Club Convention that Tom Benson (RIP) and Jim Mora signed; there are some players names on it but they are so faded I can't read them.

I have a large Saints flag that has about 30 Saints signatures on it including Tom Benson, Weatherford, Strief, Harper, Faine and Drew.

Re: Saints Memorabilia
MY MOST PRIZED SAINTS COLLECTION. (Great Story)
You can't buy memories like this for anything. SUPERBOWL YEAR 2010 Sean Payton signed and then threw in to the crowd of hundreds of people a VERY RARE LIT UP MULTI COLOR LED POWERED FULL SIZE FREEBEE during the 2010 Orpheus Parade. (The night before Mardi Gras.) It shined and incredibly lit up the sky as it flew across everyone's head for a few seconds in the crowd that night. Everybody no doubt noticed and wanted it. How I caught the thing in that huge crowd was a blessing from GOD. I estimate that the chances of me catching it was about 1 in 200+ because Payton could have thrown it to ether side of the float (left or right) and in any direction (front, middle, back). I remember as it floated right across and lighting up the beautiful sky and then right into my hands as I beat the crap out of all the other people fighting me to catch it. After I completely gloated and laughed at everybody who had just suffered such a great loss, I looked at the signature. Everyone wanted to see the signature but oddly... no one couldn't read it. It looked just like scribble scratch because... it was scribble scratch. SOB... He must have signed and thrown hundreds and we were at the end of the parade around Canal St and Magazine St. He had do doubt been drinking and he didn't care what it looked like. I will always have both... the Memories and the Freebee. It still works, but the signature didn't get any better. I doubt it is worth anything since you cannot tell who signed it. No doubt a family heirloom. :o |

THANK YOU. It was an incredible experience but my wife said I embellished the story some. But that's the way I remember it and the OFFICIAL STORY. ;-) Never mind that I had 10 shots of Jagermeister and consider... my wife doesn't even like football. She barely watched the Saints in the Superbowl. :pissed: She didn't even care that I had experienced one of the greatest moments of my life. You can't believe anything she says about this subject. https://media1.giphy.com/media/xThuW...GmI/source.gif Because there Ain't No Place To Pee On Mardi Gras Day. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/05/6e...a76b5b9f84.jpg 2017 Mardi Gras :bng: You might ask... If she doesn't like the Saints and didn't watch the Superbowl, then why did I marry her? Her cooking skills aren't that great either. https://scontent-dfw5-1.xx.fbcdn.net...87&oe=5D5E520E Love you Honey... I'm going to the guys house for the game... see you later. We have been together for over 30 years. She used to look a lot better. :D |

Jagermeister is the devil

Jagermeister can taste like Root Beer Barrel Candies. Approved by years of Mardi Gras parade testing. If your Jagermeister doesn't taste like Root Beer Barrel Candies, you are doing it wrong. First... REQUIRED: it has to be FREEZING COLD. Second... you need TEST TUBE SHOOTERS. The test tubes shooters help keep it on the middle of the tongue and off the rest of your mouth. Third... THIS IS KEY... make sure the shot touches the front of your tongue where the sweetness receptors are. Finally... Don't do the entire shot at one time and try to keep the shot on only the middle of your tongue. Do the shot in 3 or 4 tastes. This makes it easier to keep it right in the middle of your tongue. If you do it this way, it will taste like a root beer barrel candy and is oddly pleasant. I have shown many people at Mardi Gras how to drink this correctly. All were convinced. If you don't do it this way, it will taste like medicine especially if it isn't cold enough. Doing Five or Six shots will give you a great buzz the entire parade and you won't have to pee. Trust me... it works. I always have a bottle of Jagermeister in my freezer. https://www.barproducts.com/media/ca...m/img_9901.jpg https://www.licoriceinternational.co...280_detail.jpg https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/i...y8-rzIL9Hm-0PQ NEVER MAKE THIS FACE AGAIN! http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R5Q0lpQu2x...o%2BSmooth.jpg |

Bringing back this old thread with my 2020 birthday gifts ...
https://scontent-dfw5-2.xx.fbcdn.net...3a&oe=5F7652EC Look at what my awesome wife gave me for my birthday! Three more great items for my collection all from the Saints' first season in 1967. A Saints/Cowgirls ticket stub for year one on what happens to be our wedding anniversary date, November 12. A gold season doubloon from 1967, and an original pin from that first season, as well, from the same lady that had the ticket as a child. I am so pumped! They'll go in the framed display box with the 1967 pennant and other 1967 items. |

I dont know how to upload audio, my engineer friend from my day job
(some of you know ) was wiring up the visitor's booth for Saints/Texans, and had Jim Henderson call me scoring for the Saints. I have an audio file of Henderson saying "Pigs have flown; Hell has frozen over; Skymike has scored for the Saints." I"m also very fond of my Bobby Hebert Sports Illustrated cover, signed by the Cajun Cannon. He was doing Point After at Deanies, and I told him his teeth looked good... He looked confused a moment, and realized I was talking about the time his front teeth were knocked out in Tampa, and then I got a "ooohhh yeah, THAT..." smile. I asked if he remembered, and he said in his thick Cajun Cannon accent, "I dont remember the hit, but I remember sitting in the locker room afterwards, and being mad." That's what getting someone's autograph should be like. |

Coach Haslett's number was in the phone when I charged it up. This is one I'm not selling though. I'll have to post a picture with him. Lots of fun with it - I've taken it on Saints road trips and taken pictures with it. I meant to donate it when he got put in the Saints Hall of Fame but I missed the luncheon so I did not get to do it. He is by far the nicest person I have ever met associated with the Saints. |
