Wealthy Welfare
Benson/State Commentary-
The state's new proposal -- or life preserver -- in the long run could actually make Benson and the Saints richer through a renovated Superdome with new suites and luxury boxes from which the team could earn its own money like other NFL teams. But that would involve some things the Saints organization apparently do not like to do -- work and risk. And who can blame Benson? He's on wealthy welfare. http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dl.../1100/SPORTS03 |

Wealthy Welfare
The writer of the article is missing some points of interests... New Orleans is a poor market should he used the word small market would have been more honest/realistic. Most of us know revenue sharing helps keeps the smaller market teams competitive and in buisness. The Saints do have some of the sweetest deals in the NFL, hell they get to use the Super Dome for a very very low price than most teams have in there home Cities, but that is due in part because of market size ect.
