Re: Saints cut cornerback De'Vante Harris
Pretty powerful that he was released right after the PreSeason game before cut down day...
Sense there's more than his poor play on the field for the release... |

I hope the Bucs start him against us.

Re: Saints cut cornerback De'Vante Harris
I wish him luck, but he really struggled every time I saw him on the field. Maybe it was the scheme we run, who know? He might be ok in a Tampa 2 cover scheme. If Tampa even runs that anymore. Either way, I'd love to see Tre run past him and score a TD on a deep post.

Re: Saints cut cornerback De'Vante Harris
Drew knows Harris' tendencies...if he's out there week 1, especially as a starter like we did last season Drew will torch him or get penalties all the way down to the goal line.

Re: Saints cut cornerback De'Vante Harris
I'm hopeful Arthur Maulet takes advantage of the opportunity. Undersized but tough & scrappy like his positional coach Aaron Glenn was as a player.
Just glancing around the league, there are a few undrafted corners who have capitalized & are playing at a high level... Chris Harris Jr., Malcolm Butler, Ken Crawley, A. J. Bouye just to name a few. Maybe Maulet makes a leap? To be continued... |

Re: Saints cut cornerback De'Vante Harris
Harris never impressed me. However, I really like Maulet's skill set and attitude.
Harris should fit right in with Tampa and their losing record. I don't think he'll stick around there but he might. Tampa has a strong roster but poor management and coaching. |

Re: Saints cut cornerback De'Vante Harris
He had a long history of underwhelming play. After game one's penalties it was an easy cut and the right message.
