Nick Underhill: Saints defense looked much better against Cardinals, but QB struggles bring new crop of questions

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I'm good with Hendrickson playing opposite Cam. I saw him at least twice set the edge on run plays against the 1s & he made an unassisted tackle on one of them. Quick off the snap, too. If Lawrence don't ...

If Lawrence don't make the 53 he ain't gonna be on the PS for long...he's been lights out. Stallworth & Loewen are playing very well, too.

Still unimpressed with Klien, and Kikaha looks slow, slow, slow. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if Kikaha gets to watch this season from the couch.

looks like kikatha's knee injuries in college and here have caught up with the record setting sack man out of wash. really hoped for the best of him, but if he gets the axe .he could fill a hole if needed.

I think Loewen is ahead of Kikaha & Johnson.

As for Devaroe ... I know some will say that "he was making plays against the "2's", but you can only line up against what ever is in front of you. 5 tackles, 3 solo and a sack? He's disruptive and hungry.

Got that right. Devaroe is so young but he's playing lights out. Great motor. Don't matter if its against the 2s...man is just playing ball & making plays.

And, yeah, I'd take Loewen over Kikaha & Johnson. He's freaking everywhere. Hard to teach football instincts, but he's gottem out the wazoo. Really love these effort guys, and it seems we're stocking piling them. Our cuts are gonna be interesting.
