If you remember back to when all those false accusations of "bounties" happened it became known that Payton never even stuck his head into a defensive meeting. He was always totally hands off. Now, I am sure he has more oversight these days, but not to the extreme of which you are implying. Nolan would walk in a minute if he didn't have most of the say in the matter. THAT'S why he was hired! |
