In my opinion he is sincere starting material. I have no doubt we can

I hope he gets into the last preseason game so that Meredith might actually have a decent backup throwing him the ball.

If Merideth were any good he wouldn’t need “a decent backup”. Carr and other 3rd and 4th string receivers have made the best out of what our backups have had to offer. What’s Meridiths excuse?

He is still feeling his way back after a nasty injury snd learning a whole new playbook. Never easy to trust your body for a while after serious injuries.

Re: Saints Trade for Teddy Bridgewater

Well they either see him as Drews long term successor or they see the benefits of tying him up and trading him to pick up pocks to a needy team.

If he can get back to his pre injury form its a great deal assuming its mid round picks.

I guess they have a eye on the long term with so players needing new deals in the upcoming years and having a QB tied up for a few years at a cap friendly deal would help. Hard to plan long term with a older high paid QB even if he is a legend

"Two receivers to the left, Garcon to the right. Manning in the shotgun, puts Collie in motion. Looks in his direction...it's picked off! It's picked off! It's Tracy Porter again! He's runnin' free! He's gonna go all the way!

I’m thrilled with this decision. Teddy Bridgewater is a million times better than Savage and Hill... Obviously Payton knows that as well. With Bridgewater we actually have a guy who can be our Nick Foles to Carson Wentz if something were to happen to Brees and we’re making a real run.
