Re: Saints Trade for Teddy Bridgewater

I can only say I didn't have much of a reaction - mostly I guess because I haven't paid much attention to Bridgewater.

But I just watched a few of his highlight reels on youtube. I like this move. We don't have jack at backup. This kid could take over for Drew in a year or two. We may have just traded for our future under center fellas.

If Merideth were any good he wouldn’t need “a decent backup”. Carr and other 3rd and 4th string receivers have made the best out of what our backups have had to offer. What’s Meridiths excuse?

Thanks to God that the Team Ochsner Boobs won't be performing his physical.

He is still feeling his way back after a nasty injury snd learning a whole new playbook. Never easy to trust your body for a while after serious injuries.

XVI, I concur.

This could be an excellent spot for Teddy. Successor in waiting on a high powered offensive team.

Here's a bit more to support what I'm thinking...

Teddy Bridgewater fills two needs at once. The Saints need to win now and TB is a viable starter should the Saints lose Brees for any portion of the 2018 campaign and he could be the successor to Brees if Drew decides to retire (not happening).
