I think all you have to do is look at two different teams from last season to see Payton’s motivation: the Eagles and Packers. They both lose their star QB but one goes on to win the Super Bowl while the other wallows in despair with Brett Hundley.
Heck, you could also look at how the Texans fared when an injury forced them to rely on our own Tom Savage. |
