this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Scott will make the team. Clapp will make the team. Leonard will make the PS which, I believe, was the intention all along. Carr deserves a shot too, but the WR position is the wild west and I'd be lying ...

Hmmmm.........I wonder if Hill could be trade bait? I know we value his special talents on our team but some team may pony up some draft capital to get a back up QB who has learned under Payton and Brees.

Hill will be fine. Will start season as #2 QB. Bridgewater will push him and may overtake him by week 6 but I doubt it. Bridgewater will surprise me if he masters the system before then.

Bridgewater will be past him well before that. If disaster struck they'd rely on running the ball more and just giving a simplified book to Bridgewater.
Hill will be the 3 quickly amd its a decent situation as we can carry 3 QB with the 3rd being a special teamer so saves a roster spot for someone we dont want to lose buts on the bubble |

QB - Brees, Bridgewater, Hill
HB - (Ingram) Kamara, Williams, Scott, Vereen FB - Line WR - Thomas, Ginn, Meredith, Smith, Carr, TLL TE - Watson, Hill, TBD OT- Armstead, Ram, Bushrod, Leonard G - Peat, Warford, LeRibeus C- Unger DE - Jordan, Hendrickson, Okafor, Davenport, Loewen. DT - Rankins, Davison, Onyemata, Stallworth LB - Te'o, Davis, Robertson, Anzalone, Klien, Stupar CB - Lattimore, Crawley, Williams, Robinson, Hardee, Maulet S - Williams, Bell, Coleman, Banjo K - Lutz P - Morstead LS - Wood -The 3rd TE is not currently on the team. -LeRibeus is ahead of Clapp but he will make the PS. -You have to keep six WR. -The Peat injury helps Bushrod and Leonard make the team. -I could see Vereen getting cut to avoid guaranteeing his contract. -Lawrence will make the PS. -Arnold makes the PS. -Jamerson to PS. -Stallworth is the backup NT. |
