There is a very good chance the Saints will add a veteran after week 1 is over. They will probably do this so they are not on the hook for an entire years worth of salary.

AD didn't know the playbook either when he was traded mid season but did well on a short notice.

Other positions it's more of a problem but a RB can pull it off most of the time. He also won't be out there much.

People also have to realize that not every roster move is a linear move towards the future. A lot if not most are made as a result of something that has taken place or an adjustment for the upcoming opponent. If Payton thought Scott had a real future here then I’m sure he would have made it work.

Well, Edmunds just went to the Steelers so that's 1 team not taking Scott from us.

Steelers are way down on the waiver order. SF, Skins could be in the market. Probably go with Skins with Chris Thompson not healthy but looks like he's playing. I think he falls back to us if we want him. Rookie RB is not a good waiver wire grab. Better to go with DL and OL. Market is saturated with RB's.

The idea of promoting Williams, who didn't finish his goal line runs against the Rams, but Scott, who's got more talent, finished runs off strong is...wow...just...wow...

Payton is now a complete liar to the press, all of his BS of we let him go because he wasn't available, and gotta be able to do more than one role...

It's all BS - total Bullshinski - Payton is as fickle Bourbon Street Stripper - it's not the bill you're slippin' in, it's how if feels slippin it in, day of the week, other...

Payton simply doesn't apply some of the same basic standards of effort, character, etc to all players - he does not...

Not that I'd ever know, you know, anything whatsoever, about that, just understand from a friend that's how Bourbon Street Strippers can be...
