Re: 18-1 Baby!
Agreed. That team that took the field today can beat any team in the NFL. I will eat crow. Today proved to me that we can beat anyone as long as they beat themselves first. I also like the sportsmanship the team showed by allowing the Browns to feel like they had a chance.
This wasn’t last years Browns team we played. This years Browns team may be even worse than last years Browns team. It was pretty sic though the way Payton ****ed with their kickers head. He’s going to have nightmares of Payton for the rest of his career. Hats off to Lutz for going over and consoling him after. Love the sportsmanship. We are lucky we landed him. |

Re: 18-1 Baby!
I'm sure the reason the Vikings lost the championship game was because they "knew deep inside" the Saints should have been there!

If every year he truly believed we we're going to win the SB he'd bet everything he owns on it. But he doesn't believe it anymore than you or I do. He's lying. |

Hey, I'm as optimistic as the next guy, maybe more, but this gets old - the questioning our fandom if we don't think we're going undefeated every year. My landlord is a similar kind of homer for the whiners. It's sad. I mean, it's borderline childish. But, whatever. Some people have to sooth themselves to sleep at night. LOL

My hopeful prediction of 18-1 is just as valid as any other at this point.
In week one we faced a Tampa Bay team that was projected to go 0-3 to begin the season. Fitzpatrick put up five TD's on our defense. In week two they faced what was supposed to be an elite defense in the Eagles. Fitzpatrick added FOUR more TD's against them in a win. I wouldn't be surprised if they beat the Steelers down in Tampa next week, as well, to go 3-0. Cleveland is a much improved team that played the Steelers to a tie in week one. I will "predict" that they win some games this season. Probably starting with the Jets next week. The Saints defense may not end up being quite as good as most around here anticipated, but I would venture to guess that they are no where near as bad as some currently believe. I don't care what our record is at any point. Never have. There's nothing that can be done about past games. I only put my hope on the next game. |
