Anytime you need an external substance to cope or deal with something - you have a problem...

Its just a red flag to me that after all the chances he has had he doesn't show up for camp. That just doesn't sound at all like a team player.

I for one would give him a chance. Weed is not that big a problem to me but you have to follow the rules and to be able to make that kind of money just give it up for a while and make those paychecks. Not sure what is going on with Meredith or Smith. Not sure what is going on with Bree's He really had a bad game. This team really knows how to stink it up offense was horrible Cleveland has a better defense than advertised but a horrible job by the "O"

The law is what it is, right now, and so there is a policy against smoking weed, and he continually breaks that rule.

If you have such an addiction to something, that you can't cut it out to keep a job that pays you millions of dollars, then you have a serious problem. It's not just a harmless recreational thing, at that point. Drinking IS legal, but if you are abusing alcohol, you have a problem.

I am of the opinion that marijuana is far less harmful than alcohol. But I don't think it is something that should be used irresponsibly. Ricky Williams knew the rules, and so he just left the country to pursue whatever weird stuff he was/is into, where he could smoke as much as he wanted.

Addiction is a disease. Millions of dollars. No dollars. It’s far more complicated to quit something the body is craving than many think. Some quit, cold turkey. Others struggle. I’m not concerned about his addiction to marijuana. Hungry. Sleepy. Lethargic. Don’t care.

As far as legality, I’m positive it will become legal. What if he played for the Broncos? He’s in a state where it’s fine but he still can’t because they rather him pop prescription pills to deal with things? Like I said...I’m just not buying it.

Um because dude has been on a 6 year ride to and from Loony Town?

Do you really want a guy that missed a game from a pulled hamstring from a photo shoot for his own clothing line? Seriously?

I beg to differ!!! It helps me with my ADHD!!! I also take multiple prescriptions including Xanax........but a couple of puffs takes all the tenseness away. :beatnik:

Don't judge me until you walk a football field in my cleats.

Edit: I am probably the most tightly wound person you ever met......before I smoke. After that........it's all good!

I don't have a problem calling him if he is cut. I wouldn't trade anything for him though.

Get him in sign him and help keep him clean. As soon as he pops on a test you can him.

For those of you who wouldn't sign him... INGRAM.

I think that's an apples and gorillas comparison. It's not like Ingram is a perpetual violator with multiple suspensions over multiple seasons. It's also not like Ingram is a distraction when he is in fact ready to play. Gordon has been both. Dude is just flat unreliable. That's why the Browns are finally cutting bait on that talent.

Ingram's going to come back looking for that final big contract. I fully expect him to not only come back, but to ball out in the last 12 games.

So in short, no extra chance for Gordon.

Pats get him for a 5th rounder. He’ll have a career year.

Yea, and for a lot of people popping a few Vicodin can give you just as big a rush as snorting a couple of rails of coke. They are without a doubt performance enhancing. It can absolutely increase your ability to focus and boost energy.
