If he emerges next week with 2 catches great. If he gets 0 and Tre'Quan gets two that is also great. Does not matter to me. For you though that is not good. You are on your way to losing financially.
$20 bucks. Big deal. But I will win. You want the same bet? You say that Meredith will not be a regular part of the Saints offense for seven of the remaining games? I'll take your money too. It'll give you another reason to pull against a Saints player of which you obviously have an irrational negative opinion.

It's actually very rational. He was the star on a 3-13 team where several of the starting WR's were on IR. If not for that he would have never seen the field or not enough to matter but that happened so here we are.

Nobody has emerged as the slot WR. 1 catch does not make anyone the hands down winner. It takes a body of consistent work for that to happen.

What is irrational is basing anything off of one 11 yard TD grab with nothing else behind it. He literally has 1 single catch going into week four.

So that means he will fail. Okay. I see your logic. Or lack thereof.

I hope he has success and know everyone on this forum wants that to happen. What I won't do is crown him the slot at this time. I was not willing to do that when we signed him, through training camp, PS or even now. Not enough body of work to say he is our best option. That is what I have said from day one. Nothing has changed my mind so far. Is he our best option? I can't say. I honestly do not know. If he gets 2 catches next game then yeah, he is on his way. I want to see a small amount of consistency. I don't think that is too much to expect. Could Tre'Quan emerge next week? I have no freaking idea. I just hope we figure it out because MT and Kamara can't keep this up forever.

Yet you constantly attack my support for my confidence in his success?

Okay.

Okay.
You made a personal bet against other players on your team. I have no skin in that game. I never bet for or against him or anyone else. If you lose the bet then there will be a financial loss and also ridicule by others.

Just not something I get involved in. I have a higher morale code. I root for what is best for the team. If he emerges great. So far nobody owns that role and we are heading in to week 4 and , as I have firmly stated, would be the case. He has one catch just like everyone else. It is a TD but it is also for much less yards than the other two receptions by quite a bit.

If you believe he is going to be rolling as the 3rd WR then great. I base my convictions on reality. He has already had a setback as he stated in injury recovery. I took that as actually bad. Not sure how you read it. Coach also said his timing and route running is off. I took that as bad. These are not my words. These are from him and Peyton.

Hey. Show me where Meredith said he had any setback in his injury recovery. I call BS on that. I've followed his recovery closely since we signed him until he hit the field this past week.

I assume you are referring to this:

It was reported that this tweet had nothing to do with any setback in his injury recovery.

And you are already wrong because Meredith has already taken over as the primary slot receiver in his very first game back.

Snap counts week 3:

Austin Carr 13 16%

Tre'Quan Smith 26 33%

Cameron Meredith 34 43%

Smith was in for Ginn. Meredith received THREE time more snaps than did Carr. Why? Because that's why he was signed. It has already been determined. You are just too blinded by your dislike for Meredith that you fail to see the obvious.

And once again, I'm NOT betting against any Saints player. I hope Carr and Tre'Quan Smith contribute hugely. I am simply expecting Meredith to be the primary slot receiver ... the position for which he was signed for $5 million.

What is your problem, man?
