With the game on the line, we found a way to stop the Falcons.
Lots to clean up in the secondary, not named Robinson and Lattimore. |

Sure would be nice right about now to see if Natrell Jamerson or Kamrin Moore could help our secondary.

Yeah, but we had to score 40+ points. Played almost perfect game on offense and overtime win is the result. Turnovers happen and it is unrealistic to always have mistake free game on offense. Decent, not great, just mediocre defense makes this team very dangerous. More possessions, different (more aggressive) play calling, better field position... We have talent for average defense. Coaching is and always was the problem with Saints defense. |
Re: Observations from today's dramatic OT win over the FailClowns
another observation not from the game, but important nonetheless... one of 3 teams to score over 100 points and the only team to let up more than 100.

Unfortunately I already observed most of this vs Tampa.

It's time to see how much Hardee progressed. I am still wondering how J.t. Gray made it over Jamerson. I am starting to side eye Aaron Glenn

Re: Observations from today's dramatic OT win over the FailClowns
My Observations (through black-n-gold lenses):
1. Our defense has weaknesses, and those weaknesses were exploited today, but they still managed to disrupt & make stops at pivotal moments to keep us in the game. 2. Our offense came together today and fought a hard epic battle with a rival opponent in their house and won. 3. Atlanta is stacked with big fast talented receivers that will be a menace to any defense in this league if Matty Ice is allowed time to throw. 4. Yellow flags damn near cost us the game. 5. My New Orleans Saints 2018 team has a heart to win 6. Drew Brees has not lost a step. And today, you might even say he stepped it up. 7. I thought I caught a glimpse today of that "eye of the tiger" "no guts, no glory" Sean Payton I once knew pre-bountygate. |
