How I feel about the secondary

I really think they will get it together. It’s obviously on the coaches and although I have my doubts about Allen I can’t help but believe it’s Payton’s doing. Bad defenses ever since he’s been here, multiple coordinators, and players who have shined elsewhere. The only constant is Payton. I do feel like he’s able to put his ego aside more now than when he was younger. He HAS grown as a coach. Hopefully he will just let the players do what they do.

I think they'll get it together, too, but I think that Payton may be giving Allen TOO much latitude. It appears to me that Allen is asking too much from the secondary (see Rob Ryan). The last time that happened (see Rob Ryan) Payton stepped in and gave the reins to Allen. I doubt it will be that dramatic again, but hopefully Payton delivers the message of "Keep It Simple Stupid!"
