Mark Ingram greets Saints at airport early Monday

Mark Ingram couldn't wait to be back with the New Orleans Saints.

"Free Mark!" Kamara said Sunday. "I talked to him before the game. He'll probably be at the airport when we land. It feels good to know he served his four and he's going to be back. It's about to be ugly."

He was there to get his key to the Saints facility.

Considering that other than Thomas, our receiving corps has been less than expected, having Ingram back should help fill that void. This will allow Payton to use Kamara as a wideout with Ingram at RB. It would be fun to watch the Kamara -cornerback matchups.

I feel like we should pay Ingram in the offseason. Give him 3 years - $15 million with some incentives. He's a good teammate and we need to keep that energy in the locker room.

So you want to retain Ingram .... for next season?

And your're right, he's a great team mate.

He's going to have to want that to happen. His next contract is going to be his last big opportunity. The Saints will not, and should not, pay market price. So if Ingram decides to cash out, then it's likely the Saints won't be in that conversation.

Best start putting money away for when Karmara's contract expires. If he continues playing the way he is now, his paycheck$ are going be quite $ubstantial.

Mike Thomas, Kamara, Lattimore, Ramz etc ...

Unfortunately we won't be able to keep them all.
